I'm going to fight for the Michigan Taxpayer

Republican Candidate for Michigan House of Representatives District 59

My goal is to bring a fiscal perspective to taxes and spending, and to make changes that make sense for our community, now and for the future.

Meet Jean Zott

Candidate for Michigan House District 59

Jean Zott is a proud 26-year resident of Shelby Township, a lifelong Michigander, and a strong believer in responsible leadership, local values, and bringing common sense back to Lansing.

Jean and her husband Dan have been married for 37 years and raised their two adult children, Rachel and Jake, right here in Shelby Township.  As a mom, she understands the importance of safe neighborhoods, good schools, and protecting the values that make our communities strong.

A graduate of Central Michigan University, Jean has built a career grounded in integrity, discipline, and results.  With nearly 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, she spent 30 years as a CPA and corporate controller for Joe Randazzo's Fruit & Vegetable Inc., Michigan's largest retail produce company.  She also worked in three public accounting firms and successfully ran her own business, giving here firsthand insight into the challenges facing families and job creators.

Jean knows how to balance a budget - and she's tired of watching Lansing politicians forget that taxpayers come first.  With decades of experience in business, finance, and leadership, Jean has the tools to demand accountability, cut waste, and make sure state government works for the people - not the other way around.  As a CPA, she brings a skill set that's sorely missing in Lansing - there are currently no CPAs serving in the Michigan House or Senate.

Jean is not a career politician - she's a neighbor, a problem-solver, and someone who believes service starts at home.  She's deeply involved in the community, supporting many local charities.  Jean serves on two local charitable committees and participates in bi-monthly outreach efforts to help the homeless and disadvantaged in the city of Detroit.  Her commitment to giving back drives her passion for public service and shapes her approach to issues like responsible spending, tax reform, and education.

With deep roots in the community and decades of real-world experience, Jean Zott is ready to represent District 59 with integrity, transparency, and a strong voice for the people.
